My Teaching Philosophy

I believe science is something students should experience—not just memorize. That's why I create lessons centered around inquiry, labs, real-world applications, and critical thinking. My goal is to make science engaging, meaningful, and accessible while helping students build confidence through exploration and discovery.

Beyond the Classroom

When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me hiking, kayaking, relaxing at the beach, or exploring new places with my family. My love for the outdoors continually inspires the lessons and resources I create, helping students connect science to the world around them.

Why I Created Marine Science Made Simple

I started Marine Science Made Simple to help teachers save time with engaging, classroom-tested resources that make marine science exciting and easy to teach. My hope is that these lessons inspire curiosity, encourage hands-on learning, and foster a lifelong appreciation for our oceans and the environment.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope these resources save you time, inspire curiosity, and help your students discover how exciting marine science can be. I'm grateful to be a part of your teaching journey.
